Professional data analysis has become an indispensable tool for research in all areas of quantitative biology, including evolution. In this CRC, we generate and analyse massive high-throughput data, and we develop new computational methods. The central unit of Evolutionary Bioinformatics bundles these efforts. It focuses on common tasks of data analysis, including (1) assistance in the design of complex evolution experiments,
(2) analysis of high-throughput molecular data, (3) time-resolved sequence analysis and tree reconstruction, and (4) implementation of new analysis tools for use in our scientific community.
