Project A6
Evolutionary diversification of E. coli in the mouse gut
Isabel Gordo, Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência | web | email
This project studies gut evolution of E. coli strains in health and disease. We will characterize genetic and phenotypic diversification of highly evolvable strains and quantify emerging evolutionary trade-offs using new mathematical models. We will study the co-evolution between colibactin positive and negative strains and gut epithelia cells during cancer development.
